JoinAI (joinai.me) operates Claude Community Algarve, an independent builder community in Algarve, Portugal. We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising on this site.

Who we are

The controller for personal data processed through joinai.me is the JoinAI / Claude Community Algarve organizers. Contact: app.croco.team@gmail.com. This community is independent and is not an official Anthropic product.

What we collect

• Waitlist and newsletter emails you submit, plus an optional name and message.
• Tool submissions (name, URL, description, optional email for credit).
• Account data if you create a login (email, display name, hashed password).
• Community content you post (threads, replies, votes) and the public profile fields you choose.
• Technical logs needed to run the site: IP address, user agent, timestamps, and security events.
• Preference cookies: language (webs_lang) and, if used, color mode (webs_design).

Why we process it

We process this data to operate the community (waitlist, events, directory, discussion), to reply to you, to keep the service secure, and to meet legal obligations. Legal bases under GDPR: consent (waitlist, newsletter, optional cookies), contract / steps prior to contract (accounts and submissions), and legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, community moderation).

Where it is stored

Data is stored on infrastructure in the JoinAI host environment (PostgreSQL, Redis, object storage). Emails may be sent through our mail proxy. We do not use the data to train third-party advertising models.

Sharing

We do not sell lists. We share data only with processors who run email, hosting, or security on our behalf, or if required by law. Public community posts are visible to other visitors. Tool listings you submit may be published in the directory.

Retention

Waitlist and newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Account and community posts remain while the account is active, unless you request erasure (we may retain a minimal record where the law requires it). Server logs are rotated on a short cycle.

Your rights (EU / Portugal)

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority (CNPD) or your local EU authority. Email app.croco.team@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request”.

Children

The site is intended for adults building products. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Claude and Anthropic

Claude Community Algarve is an independent ambassador-style community. Anthropic does not operate this website and does not receive your waitlist or account data from us unless you contact them yourself.
