Residency, not a YC-style remote form
Antler’s UK FAQ says Antler is an inception-stage VC, not an accelerator or incubator. You show up in person. Some locations run fixed residencies; some (US, Canada, Korea, Nordics) are rolling. Cohort start dates: antler.co/cohort-start-dates (starts, not deadlines). Apply: antler.co/apply.
Solo vs investment (UK page, retrieved 2026-09-15)
“We don’t invest in solo founders. Most people join Antler solo, but the goal of the residency is to form a complementary founding team.” If you are unwilling to consider a co-founder, this is the wrong room. That is Antler’s sentence, not a JoinAI anecdote.
UK tracks (location-specific)
Complete teams: typically 6 weeks. Solo or incomplete teams: up to 8 weeks. Next UK start stated as 22 September 2026 in the FAQ and 23 September 2026 in the hero — record both; do not invent a third date. Full-time, in London. UK investment copy is UK-specific. Do not paste UK checks as global Antler terms.
No Portugal row
The 2026-09-15 cohort table lists UK, Korea, Singapore, Kenya, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Canada, US (San Francisco, Austin, New York City), Nordics, Australia. No Algarve / Portugal residency. Remote-only preference is a poor fit for Antler’s in-person model.
Prepare (process)
A one-liner that survives the stranger test. Calendar you can actually give. Skills you are missing on purpose. If you already have a live product, say so. Visa / right-to-work rules are location-specific.
When it is the wrong fit
Unwilling to take a co-founder. Need a fully remote process. Already raised a meaningful pre-seed (UK FAQ: Antler wants to still be catalytic as first investor).
